Our story

I lead a men’s Bible study in Arizona called Brothers in Christ. For a long time, I faced the same difficulties so many group leaders do.

Finding a study meant hours of research. What is it really about, who wrote it, will it fit these men, and is a stack of workbooks worth buying when half of them might never be opened? Some of what I wanted was hard to find at all, like a study that walks through a book of the Bible with real structure, so I often ended up building studies myself, sometimes around a video series.

Everything else lived in a group text. New men joined in the middle of the conversation, we kept running into the member limit, the details of the next event were buried under a hundred messages, and the prayer requests from Thursday were scrolled past by Monday. Keeping the group in the study between meetings, and praying for each other through the week, took more effort than it should have.

With a career background in technology, I built our group an app. It held our studies, our prayer requests, our events, and our conversation, and the work of hosting got lighter. The men loved it. For about a year we used it together, and it got a little better every week.

Somewhere in that year it became clear it wasn’t only for us. Other leaders carry that weight too, and some never start a group because of it. So Kingdom Groups was formed, to give every group the kind of home ours had, and to help more groups begin. It runs whatever study a group chooses, and because the book studies I wanted were the hardest to find, those are built in, ready for any group that wants one.

Mission

Encourage and enable more Christ-centered groups, and through them, grow His kingdom.

Vision

More people known, prayed for, and growing in faith, in groups that are simple to lead.

Small groups are where most of that happens. Over time we want to serve every kind: studies and classes, houses and campus chapters, serving teams and ministries, helping make disciples wherever people gather.

What we hold to

Four things that decide what gets built

Point to Jesus

Everything here serves people gathered around Christ and His Word.

Serve the leader

Less to manage for the person who carries the group, so they can shepherd it.

Keep it simple

One place for the week, set up in minutes, nothing to learn twice.

Make room for more

Every new group is a door: a study, a meal, a serve day, a seat at the table.

“They continued steadfastly in the apostles’ teaching and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and prayer.”

Acts 2:42

How we run

Promises you can hold us to

Funded by the groups that use it

No investors, and nobody to sell to. Ten dollars a month for the whole group pays for the work, and nothing else is pulling on it.

What your group shares stays your group's

We never sell your data and never show ads. Prayer requests and conversations are for the people in the group.

Here for the long haul

If Kingdom Groups ever had to close, every group would hear well ahead of time, with time to take what it has with it.

Money isn't the mission

One low price for the whole group, and a Community Plan that keeps a group free for one honest post a month. Cost should never be what ends a group.
